Algebra classes are finishing up Chapter 6 this week and will be starting Chapter 7 on Friday. The Family Letter and At-Home Practice 7A (extra credit) will be given to the students on Friday. Chapter 7 covers operations with integer exponents and polynomial operations. Students should use their Know-it-Notes when they do homework. Most afternoons I will be here after school if they need extra help and explanation. I encourage everyone to turn in all assignments and to complete the extra credit by doing the At-Home Practice and having a parent or tutor sign it. Twenty points of extra credit per chapter can make a big difference in a student's grade!

• The Know-it-Notes (KIN) and Homework and Practice Workbook pages can be printed from the Canyon Hills groupfusion site by clicking on "CHJH Departments" and navigating to "Math." On the right-hand side, click "Algebra 1 files." Students can copy pages of the Homework and Practice Workbook and also Know-it-Notes that they need. Completed notes may be used on quizzes and tests as well as earning classwork points.\
